Compassion - The Gateway to Love
People don't always understand love, if it could be understood at all. I see it as more than simply a biological condition. Animals express affection, but animals and people who have been wrongfully mistreated, abused, may have difficulty expressing affection. Does that mean they don't love? No, it does not. They love in their own ways, which may not be perceived as love by others. Who can judge what love is? It's common for people to be fooled into thinking they're experiencing love, when in fact they're not. To get a better understanding of love, let's start with compassion. There are times when one can be surrounded by evil. We do not have compassion for evil. Here's an example. Suppose you're hearing discouraging and condemning voices that intend to hurt your feelings.
